How do doctors determine the suitability of teleconsultation for my condition?
No. Teleconsultation is suitable for selected non-emergency conditions. During your consultation, we assess your symptoms and determine whether this service is appropriate. If your condition requires a physical examination, investigations, or urgent care, we will advise an in-person consultation or refer you to an appropriate healthcare provider or emergency services.
Will I receive medication after my consultation?
If suitable, we may provide a prescription after assessing your condition. Medication is dispensed through our licensed pharmacy partner and delivered to your doorstep. Most medications are delivered within one to two days, while certain treatments may require scheduled delivery to ensure proper handling and quality.
Does GoMed operate a physical clinic?
No. We provide medical services exclusively through teleconsultation/ telemedicine and do not operate a physical clinic. This allows us to offer convenient, accessible healthcare while maintaining professional standards of care through licensed doctors.
What should I do in a medical emergency?
Teleconsultation is not suitable for emergency situations. If you experience severe symptoms such as chest pain, breathlessness, sudden weakness, or loss of consciousness, please seek immediate medical attention or contact emergency services.
Are GoMed’s medications safe?
GoMed prescribe clinically approved medication based on your condition and medical assessment. Our doctors consider your medical history, current medications, and overall health before recommending treatment. Self-medication or purchasing medication without consultation is not recommended.
Will my consultation and medical information be kept private?
Yes. We follow data protection practices in Singapore and comply with existing healthcare regulations. Your personal and medical information is handled securely, ensuring privacy and confidentiality throughout your consultation and treatment process.
How much does a GoMed telemedicine consultation cost?
Our doctor consultation fee is $20. Any prescribed medication or treatment costs depend on your specific health needs and will be clearly shown to you after your assessment. If you choose not to proceed with the recommended treatment, you pay only the $20 consultation fee.
Can I get a Medical Certificate (MC) through a GoMed teleconsultation?
Yes. If clinically indicated after your online consultation, our SMC-licensed doctors can issue an official digital Medical Certificate (MC). We send issued MCs digitally, and employers and institutions in Singapore fully recognise them under MOH regulations. Please note that we issue MCs strictly based on professional medical assessment and cannot guarantee them before consultation.
How do GoMed doctors decide if a teleconsultation is suitable for me?
Every registered doctor and physician on our platform exercises independent professional judgement when reviewing your health details. To ensure patient safety, our medical professionals will verify your health history before issuing any treatment or document (such as a valid digital MC). If clinical restriction guidelines apply or an in-person consultation is required, our doctors will advise you on the next steps.
What are the requirements for a GoMed teleconsultation and delivery?
To consult a doctor, you only need a mobile or desktop device with stable internet connectivity at the comfort of your home or in a private location. Our telemedicine service is available to anyone residing in Singapore. Once prescribed, we will deliver your medicine directly to your door within 1 to 2 working days.
